About MaruJun
Our chef, Jun-san, comes from the northern part of Kyushu, Japan and has worked as a chef for almost 30 years. Inspired by the rich culinary traditions and fresh, bold ingredients of his hometown, Jun-san opened this machi sushi-ya (local sushi shop). Through MaruJun, he brings his homemade flavor of ko-ryouri (small dishes) and nigiri to California.

We are dedicated to using only the finest ingredients. From our slow-simmered overnight broths to our homemade ponzu and soy sauces, every element of our flavors is crafted from scratch. We also source the highest quality seafood, flown directly from Tokyo’s world-famous Toyosu Fish Market or our local fishermen in the Bay Area.
